Seppe Hermans
From a young age, I have been closely connected to the pharmaceutical industry through my parents, sparking my passion for science and chemistry. This led me to pursue a bachelor’s degree in chemistry at KU Leuven, with a minor in chemical technology. I continued at KU Leuven for my master’s degree, during which I completed an internship at the Chemical Process Research and Development department of Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Belgium (formerly Janssen Pharmaceutica). This experience gave me valuable insights into the intersection of chemistry and pharmaceutical production and deepened my desire to contribute to the discovery and production of life-saving medicines.
