Alexandria Risbeck
Alexandria Risbeck received her B.S. in Biology/Pre-med with a minor in International Relations at Indiana University Purdue University of Indianapolis (IUPUI) in 2021. Her bachelor thesis was focused on answering the question, ‘Is Personalized and/or Precision Medicine the Answer to Solve Most Medical Problems?’. She then joined the DRSC/TRiP at Harvard Medical School under Dr. Norbert Perrimon as a Research Assistant for three years. Her work with this group focused on studying cell-to-cell communication, from SARS-CoV-2 protein-Human protein interactions to the insulin signaling pathway between cells, using the organismal model Drosophila. This also included generating in vivo and in vitro resources for the fly community in its entirety.
